Originally from Mexico, Veronica has called Vancouver home for over twenty years. She began her career as an editor while still a full-time university student, coordinating the publication of more than 30 books, three bilingual magazines, and a local newspaper—an early foundation for her strength in storytelling and strategic communications.

Today, Veronica is a seasoned communications professional with extensive national and international experience. She specializes in developing and executing communications strategies, as well as leading effective issues and crisis management initiatives across sectors including health, hospitality, tourism, arts, events, food, and transportation.

​

In 2017, Veronica served as Marketing Manager for the City of Vancouver’s ambitious Canada 150+ year-long celebration, a large-scale program that engaged more than 400,000 Vancouver residents. She also played a key role as a media contact during the high-profile shutdown of Greyhound Canada’s services in Western Canada, where she managed complex stakeholder dynamics, media relations, and strategic messaging under pressure.

Veronica has worked with associations, businesses, and local and international governments across Canada, the United States, and Latin America. She is known for helping organizations communicate with clarity, navigate sensitive issues, and protect and strengthen their reputations.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Veronica holds an undergraduate degree in Literature from the University of Guadalajara and a Diploma in Sustainable Community Development from Simon Fraser University.
